Free Online Yoga - Is It Safe?
Yoga is very much in demand today -- especially now with the
newest trend...free yoga online. Yoga practice and exercise
can also be learned in classes.
There are yoga schools established all over the world. Yoga
was previously only applied and practiced in India, but evolved
and spread in popularity to cover the far reaches of this planet.
Almost everyone in the world knows the word 'yoga', but not
everyone has a clear picture of what yoga actually is or does
for us. Many mistakenly think that Yoga is a religion, while understanding
that it involves exercise, concentration and mind-body-soul
connection.
While Yoga practice can lead to an enhanced spiritual awakening
--and many types of Yoga indeed focus on this benefit -- it
is not a religion per se. Yoga exercises are
adaptable to many types of physical and spiritual pursuits.
Free online yoga enables most anyone to learn the Yoga style
of their choice. Simply find
a computer and log on. The internet offers opportunity to search
the web for free instruc-tion and answers to any of various
questions you may have.
Online Yoga allows you to learn at home..with privacy..if you
are sensitive to joining a group, and it allows you to practice
and learn on your own time schedule.
If you want to learn the basics, the net has the resources
on how to learn it the easy way. As long as you know how to
understand and read, you are capable of learning yoga. You supply
the energy and dedication.
But if free online Yoga is so wonderful...why are so many people
buying books, videos and/or carrying their Yoga mats to join
Yoga classes?
Some sites out there merely mimic the successful ones to be
part of the "action"...
Practicing yoga poses the wrong way or attempting to practice
ones that are wrong for
you can be risky to your health.
Some online Yoga sites require merely that you register --
usually with name, address, gender, age and the like. Age and
gender can be important to match you with what you need and
can handle. So be sure to answer requested information correctly.
Some yoga exercises are not for everyone...and if you have
health issues...you must be upfront to assure that your 'new'
self is not found lying alone in disorder--or worse -- on your
private yoga mat! Take care to research and review what is being
offered ..and be certain that what you are being offered is
what is right for you.
So...use the net to educate...but 'buyer beware'. Don't plunge
into the first one you find..
.or go with one because it sounds
"cool". Be a wise consumer. Free is not always the
best. But it can get you started on the path to where you want
to go.
