      Yoga Mat Matters


      The enjoyment of Yoga requires no equipment in fact, but in practice, many find the use of a Yoga mat to be essential to their progress.

      A Yoga mat makes your session more comfortable, cushioning you from the hard surface of the floor while stretching, bending or doing your floor work exercises.

      Owning a yoga mat, especially if you practice and learn in a group class, helps you define your own space as well. It serves as a boundary to help you judge your poses and positions as well.

      Choose your mat based on the type of Yoga you practice. Ask your yoga instructor or a knowledgable representative at the store which mat is most suitable for you.

      Keeping your budget in mind as well, the thicker the mat, the more expensive it will be.
