II
Here is a convenient index for some simple Yoga Poses. Each
of the eight categories have one or two sample exercises with
instruction to get you off to a fantastic start on your Yoga Lifestyle!
Please keep in mind the advisories posted in Part I, and always
do what is right for you and your body. Don't push too
far, simply because someone else in your class or group might
be able to do a pose more efficiently than you.
Your perfection will come. It will not help you to injure yourself.
Not only is it unnecessary, but it could also easily cause you
to drop your pursuit of yoga and all of its incredible, yet
unseen benefits to your entire well-being.
The purpose of yoga is to bring you in tune with yourself,
to help your communicate more profoundly with the parts of your
essence. Your mind, body and spirit are learning to harmonize.
Give yourself time, pace yourself, and allow your inner connection
to develop and deepen.
That cannot happen if your force yourself too far..and injure
yourself.
On the other hand...yoga also teaches discipline..so don't
be a wallflower either, and not take yourself to each new level
that your body can go. Listen to your body, mind and your spirit.
They will guide you correctly..if you discipline yourself to
hear.
